when 64Bit and/or VST3,- you´ll have to use the "MIDI-" or "User-" bank, pre-select patches and collect, then put in right order.
Why in the world,- when I use something for recording,- is it so difficult to use it in a mixed rig of hardware and software, p.ex. I don´t get why virtual instruments don´t respond to MIDI PrgCH. Oberheim sound or not,- I´m picky on (MIDI-) functionality,- hardware or software. I've had the older version for quite a while, but it doesn't get used much.Diva and Repro just sound so good, and I'm not chasing a particular Oberheim sound.
Nonetheless, when I deactivated antivirus, all went well. because I already de-installed the old version and deleted leftover folders after I´ve read´, DiscoDSP updated preset banks, being located in this folder, too. Well, these files weren´t existing at all.
* the antivirus issue was,- Avast latest application update didn´t allow the installer "overwriting" supposedly already existing files,- the english and japanese OBX-d manuals and some others in "user documents" folder. So, I de-installed the standalone version and use Tone2 nanohost as alternative. I´m irritated, the 圆4 standalone version doesn´t allow to choose ASIO instead of Windows Audio or Direct Sound,- really annoying ! That didn´t work in Tracktion 7 though,- but I don´t care much.ĪFAIK, in Reason, MIDI PrgChanges in general don´t work,- so I didn´t try. That´s absolutely rare, at least for VST3. I loaded VST3 and VST2圆4 and surprisingly it responded flawlessly to MIDI PrgCh commands. Free to try, accepting a $49 donation if you like and use.Īfter some installation problems caused by antivirus software*,- I got the update running in latest Reaper, Studio One Pro v4.x and Reason 10.x / 11.3 versions and on my Win7 Pro SP1 圆4 DAW.
